The developers had already anticipated the moment and prepared a live broadcast of The Wolf Among Us, hosted by Geoff Keighley.
The Wolf Among Us 2 is one of Telltale Games’ most anticipated titles, so its name is repeated in many video game-related broadcasts. Although its absence was conspicuous during The Game Awards 2021, the development studio was preparing news that could surprise its community. Now, in a recently announced live stream, it has unveiled the game’s first official trailer.
The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released in 5 episodes in 2023
Geoff Keighley hosted the moment via The Game Awards’ Twitch and YouTube channel, where the video mentioned above was also shown to the world. In it, we’ll once again meet Bigby Wolf, the Big Bad Wolf, through a new story thread much anticipated by the gaming community and with the distinctive art style familiar from the first episode.
Beyond this first look, the live stream confirmed that five episodes will be released in 2023 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4 and PS5. Development on The Wolf Among Us 2 has been tranquil so far, with Telltale giving little information on the story or general aspects of the game. However, the presentation leaves plenty of room for Keighley to chat to some of the game’s writers, as well as the primary voice actors.
While we already knew some details about the script and graphics for The Wolf Among Us 2, this time, the use of the Unreal Engine had been confirmed. Therefore, we can be sure that Telltale will continue to release more and more information about the game between now and release, so we will probably see more unpublished news and more previews in the coming months.
