As usual, Sony announced the day before the show that it is preparing a State of Play program.
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced on the PlayStation Blog that State of Play will take place tonight, on March 9, but again at a rather unfortunate time for us Europeans: the event will start at 11 PM (5 PM Eastern, 2 PM Pacific). It can be watched on YouTube and Twitch. The show won’t be long: it’s planned by Sony to be 20 minutes long, so we might not fall asleep during it.
There will be updates and announcements about PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games during the broadcast. The main focus will be on Japanese publishers, but there will also be some news on games from developers outside Japan. Jon Kabira will narrate the Japanese version of the coverage.
There are already rumours of what announcements may be coming. On Reddit, it has emerged that the 2015 PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne might get a PlayStation 5 remaster. Still, the source of information itself is highly questionable, as it all started on 4chan, and this site is not always reliable. However, the fact that several pictures have surfaced makes the leak potentially plausible. Is it a hoax, or is it a leak that has taught us that FromSoftware’s game is entering a new generation? We doubt it…
SIE Japan Asia showed off what games are coming to the two PlayStation platforms in a three-minute video. RUN! RUN! Lineup! features twenty games, and Aoi Utano runs to the background music, which NayutalieN produced, including Mary Usagi’s vocals. These games are featured: Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Offline, Babylon’s Fall, Forspoken, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, and Ghostwire: Tokyo. These titles are briefly shown: Dragon Ball: The Breakers, Deathverse: Let It Die, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, eBASEBALL Powerful Pro Baseball 2022, Earth Defense Force 6, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Rebirth, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Star Ocean: The Divine Force, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and The King of Fighters XV.
It’s interesting to see how the games are promoted in another region.
