Although Ubisoft already has Ghost Recon: Frontline in its hands, another title is rumoured to be in the works.
Ubisoft announced earlier today that Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will no longer receive any more content, ending any further updates to the company’s first NFT game. In the wake of the news, the company has stated that they are focusing on the future of the series, bringing the previously announced Ghost Recon: Frontline to the public’s attention. However, fans of the franchise may be in for more surprises in the form of an unannounced game.
The new Ghost Recon game will be released in the fiscal year 2023
According to a report from Kotaku, Ubisoft could be preparing a new game in the franchise in addition to the aforementioned Ghost Recon: Frontline. According to developer sources, the project is codenamed “OVER” and is scheduled for release in the fiscal year 2023.
That’s all we’ve learned about the alleged new Ghost Recon game, so we’re waiting for official confirmation from Ubisoft. After all, we should treat such information with caution until the company in charge provides more information or completely refutes the rumour.
As for the already known Ghost Recon: Frontline, Ubisoft has already announced that it will postpone the testing phase in order to provide the best possible experience for players. On the other hand, the discontinuation of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint content also implies the end of NFTs in this game, although the French company has already hinted that we will see this digital device in other titles.
