M. Night Shyamalan Is Filming Again, With A Promising Cast!

MOVIE NEWS – Following last year’s moderately successful Old, cult director M. Night Shyamalan has begun shooting his new film Knock at the Cabin.

It seems like only yesterday that M. Night Shyamalan premiered his now legendary film The Sixth Sense in 1999. Now, more than two decades later, he has started shooting his 15th feature film, Knock at the Cabin. After receiving mixed reviews last year with Old, the director has wasted no time (haha) and has started work on his next feature, although, as you might expect, very little is known about the new film at the moment, apart from the names of a few of the cast.

Although he has been wrong at times, Shyamalan is one of the most exciting directors in the business.

A master of twists and turns, he has delivered some of the most surprising and shocking cinematic endings of the last two decades. There’s little doubt that Knock at the Cabin will be another unsettling and terrifying story that will upset audience expectations in its final act; Shyamalan was delighted to announce via his Twitter account that filming has begun on the movie.

Knock at the Cabin is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 23 February 2023 and will star actors including Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, Guardians of the Galaxy and Blade Runner 2049 star Dave Bautista and Jonathan Groff of The Matrix Resurrections; as well as Ben Aldridge, William Ragsdale and Nikki Amuka-Bird. Based on the film’s title and the information crumbs that have been dropped, it seems that the story will slip into the sci-fi horror genre that the director usually favours, but with no plot details known, we can only wait to see what the film reveals closer to its release date.

Knock at the Cabin will be another opportunity for Shyamalan to put his unique vision to work.

Whether it’s another Sixth Sense experience or lands in the middling category of some of his other films, there’s no doubt that the movie will provide a few hours of entertainment for its biggest fans when it arrives next February. In the meantime, Shyamalan is producing his Apple TV+ series Servant, currently in its third season, and producing the new thriller The Vanishings at Caddo Lake. Of course, if you want to immerse yourself in his previous hits, you might want to look for one streaming service or another.
