Devolver Digital has also noticed how chaotic the pre-ordering of Sonic Origins DLCs has become. So the publisher took this opportunity to promote Trek To Yomi in a humorous Twitter post.

Trek To Yomi‘s publisher sure has a sense of humour. The Sonic Origins pre-order plan is strange, confusing and chaotic. A lot of extra content has been included in the new edition of the retro game that is not included in the basic Standard Edition, so to fully enjoy the game you have to buy the Digital Deluxe Edition, which is significantly more expensive. Needless to say, fans weren’t exactly happy with this solution.

But Trek To Yomi’s publisher, Devolver Digital took the opportunity make fun of Sonic’s sales strategy in a Twitter post in a very smart way.

Trek To Yomi’s marketing must have benefited from this move, as the post received a lot of reactions, which amusingly reacted to the confusion caused by Sonic and contrasted it with their own simple release plan.

Trek To Yomi is scheduled for release on May 5, 2022 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Meanwhile, Sonic Origins will arrive on June 23 – the same day SEGA’s blue hedgehog celebrates his 30th anniversary.
