Call of Duty: Warzone Boosts Rampage With Two Iconic Movie Monsters!

The new Call of Duty: Warzone mode, Operation Monarch, invites us to enjoy battle royale from a more beastly perspective.

The Call of Duty: Warzone bosses believe that players are starting to find the game boring. So they’ve been trying to come up with more shocking crossovers than ever before: their latest attempt, for example, brings in none other than Godzilla and King Kong! We now know that they intend to go beyond a cameo and turn it into an experience that aims to make the game even more action-packed.

Operation Monarch will be available from 11 May.

We recently revealed the role these monsters will play in Call of Duty: Warzone. As explained on the Twitter account of CharlieIntel, a specialist in shooting franchise news, Operation Monarch will be a separate game mode to Battle Royale, in which you’ll be trying to acquire a device called the Monarch Stream Device. You will then be able to control one of those two creatures.

What does this bring to the fight? Well, for one thing, Activision is inviting us to put down our weapons and enjoy the power of these monsters. King Kong will demonstrate his brutality in two ways: with ground-pounding area attacks and the ability to throw giant boulders. On the other hand, Godzilla will show off his best-known ability, allowing us to fire a bolt of lightning so powerful that no stone is left unturned.

Both creatures will be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone on May 11, but that’s not the only unusual collaboration Activision has unveiled recently. We’re also eyeing the development of a mobile triple-A experience, with more news to come later this year, Activision said in its latest financial report.
