Can We Finally See the First Trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6?!

Speculations are circulating on the internet that people connected to the development of Grand Theft Auto 6 are hinting at an upcoming announcement.

Even though virtually nothing has been officially announced about the game, Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of, if not the most anticipated game currently in development. As a result, it doesn’t take much for speculation to run rampant on the internet, whether it’s Grand Theft Auto 6 rumours or outright misinformation. It’s happened again, this time due to some strange activity around some musicians/YouTubers who are intensely involved in Grand Theft Auto news.

The two people who have been paying much attention to Grand Theft Auto 6 lately are musician/YouTuber KRYPTO9095 and actor/YouTuber El Nitro 56. However, the various allegations surrounding the two of them make the situation quite unreliable. It all starts with KRYPTO9095 making a Twitter post with the caption “GTA 6 is coming #GTA6” and a gif of the artist holding a Rockstar sticker.

After KRYPTO9095’s post on Twitter, he followed it up with a Grand Theft Auto 6 mock-up banner, which he posted on his YouTube channel. At the time, fans weren’t sure what KRYPTO9095 was trying to say but speculated that he might be acting or making music for GTA 6. The revelation that Rockstar’s official Twitter account was following KRYPTO9095 on Twitter further fuelled this speculation.

That’s when El Nitro 56 enters the story. Following the spread of speculation around KRYPTO9095, El Nitro 56 has posted a series of responses to KRYPTO9095 and the Grand Theft Auto 6 leak accounts. He said things like that he is a KRYPTO9095 employee, that the leakers are “close to the truth” about KRYPTO9095’s involvement in GTA 6, and most excitingly, a Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer is coming soon. Another cryptic statement from El Nitro 56 says, “One city, two different times”, perhaps suggesting that Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature two timelines.

Without corroborating evidence, KRYPTO9095 and El Nitro 56 are unfortunately unreliable sources. While it’s certainly possible that both men are musicians or actors for Rockstar, it’s also possible that they’re just excited fans sharing speculation they’ve heard from rumours. It wouldn’t be the first time this has happened to content creators.

But before we dismiss the whole situation completely, there is one confirmed piece of information to consider. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, holds an earnings conference on 16 May. Rockstar announced planned updates to Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online hours before the call in 2021. In other words, it’s possible Rockstar will make an announcement before this year’s call. Grand Theft Auto fans will likely be excited regardless.
