Although many of us have been waiting for a long time, it looks like Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will not be released in 2022…
Publisher Kepler Interactive and Ashen developer A44 Games have postponed the release of the action-RPG Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. From a previously planned 2022 release window, it looks like it will be early 2023. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One consoles, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Xbox Game Pass.
The good news is that a gameplay trailer has been released.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn introduces players to a completely unique RPG setting: a gunpowder fantasy world where the gods, long thought to have abandoned humanity, suddenly return, opening the gates of the afterlife in their wake, unleashing an army of the undead.
With humanity’s survival in jeopardy, their fate falls into the hands of Nor Vanek, a personal vendetta against the Coalition’s army, and his fox-like companion Enki, who can only rely on the power of magic and gunpowder to stop the apocalypse in its tracks.
Yesterday’s gameplay video showcased the visually stunning, expansive fantasy world…
…from lush forests filled with deadly creatures to coastal hideaways and towering magical cathedrals, where players will encounter countless enemies and benevolent allies. Watch the video to see the explosive enemy combat and the arsenal of tools Nor has at his disposal in this epic battle against the dark forces of the gods.
Players will combine and master a variety of brutal melee attacks, explosive firearms and magical abilities on the vast battlefields of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. When combat is complete, players have the opportunity to rest and develop their various skills through an extensive skill tree and caravan system.
All in all, the latest creation from A44 Games looks promising; let’s hope that when it launches, we can say it was worth the wait.
