Hogwarts Legacy’s Pre-Order Bonuses Leaked!

Warner is following the trends, so those who are already paying for the game before its release will get a head start…

As is often the case, a few details have surfaced on Reddit that have reached the public prematurely. This time, we got unofficial information about the Hogwarts Legacy pre-order bonuses… and whoever programmed the game’s website probably got a kick up the arse for hiding the content in the source code and should have been prepared for the fans to be unstoppable. Warner has removed the reference to pre-order content in vain, which is an admission of the whole thing.

The game, in development by Avalanche Software, will include: “Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack, Dark Arts Battle Arena, Dark Arts Garrison Hat, Kelpie Robe, Steel Case, Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book”, and three days early access to Hogwarts Legacy when pre-ordered. It has become a tradition among AAA games: almost every publisher has tried to release the game earlier than the others by offering a more expensive product version.

There are also references to “digital-only” and “digital deluxe only” in the source code, so it’s likely to hit stores in multiple versions (including digital, such as the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store), and it could lead to different amounts of pre-order bonuses. Therefore, the Digital Deluxe Edition may be available three days earlier. However, Warner was quick to react, as it had already downloaded the pre-order references from the Hogwarts Legacy website by 9:37 AM on June 24, Central Time. Well done…

Interestingly, Hogwarts Legacy still has no specific release date. Even now, all that’s official is that it’ll be released sometime in the last quarter, between October and mid-December, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. (There’s no way it’ll be released after Christmas; the games industry shuts down in mid-December…)
