MOVIE NEWS – There’s not a lot of hustle going on at Disney. The brand new Star Wars series, Skeleton Crew, was only announced at this year’s Star Wars Celebration at the end of May, but it looks like filming has started.
According to new reports from The Bespin Bulletin, a site that is always familiar and trusted with Star Wars, work on the Jude Law-starring series started at the end of June at the same California studio where all the other recent Star Wars series, including Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, have been shot.
Although the series is being kept very hush-hush for now, Skeleton Crew is being described as a galactic version of a classic 80s coming of age adventure movie. Jon Watts (Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy) will co-creator the series, with Star Wars alumni Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni executive producing the project, which will reportedly take place after the events of Return of the Jedi. Although Jude Law is currently the only star attached to the project, the main characters will be children who are lost in the galaxy but desperate to return home to their home planet.
