Hogwarts Legacy: Interesting Details Revealed, Thanks To Some Eagle-Eyed Fans

The Hogwarts Legacy community has reported that interface elements are hidden in the State of Play gameplay.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of this year’s most anticipated games for many, all hoping for a title worthy of the Harry Potter universe. That’s what the extensive gameplay Avalanche Software showed off during the State of Play in March hinted at, but it seems we didn’t get to see all of it.

On the game’s subreddit, we found that the community had noticed a detail of Warner Bros.’ game that had been right under our noses all along, unnoticed.

In a transitional moment in the gameplay of Hogwarts Legacy, elements of the UI appear that can only be seen when you increase the brightness of the image, as you can see in the image below:

In one particular frame, you’ll see a hexagon in the top left corner of the screen that will act as a minimap or compass, if we understand correctly, but the most exciting part is in the bottom right corner. While these HUD elements may be temporary, we see four boxes that appear to provide quick access to four spells.

The HUD elements can be temporary.

Based on the images, it appears that the bottom one is Accio (for attracting things), the top one is Lumos (for lighting up areas), and the one on the left is probably Wingardium Leviosa (which allows particular objects to be levitated). The one just used, the one on the right, is appropriate for Expelliarmus, although it’s easier to guess in this case since it’s shown in the video itself.

Although the exact date is unknown, Hogwarts Legacy will be released on Christmas 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
