Could Giancarlo Esposito Play Professor X? Fans Already Love The Idea!

MOVIE NEWS – Giancarlo Esposito is rumoured to be in line for a starring role in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men reboot, and many fans are hoping it’s true.

Fans of Giancarlo Esposito are eagerly awaiting the actor’s debut in the Marvel Universe, as speculation has been rife for years about what character he could play. Recently, new rumours have surfaced that Esposito is up for the role of Professor X in the upcoming X-Men reboot at Marvel Studios. The rumours have not yet been confirmed, but they have generated a lot of discussions online, but fans have welcomed the idea of Esposito playing the role of Charles Xavier.

“If rumors are true and Giancarlo Esposito is the new Professor X, I am 1,000,000 percent down,” reads one tweet.

“If there’s anyone that I would want to replace Patrick Stewart as Professor X, it would definitely be Giancarlo Esposito,” writes someone else. “I REALLY hope that rumor is true, because I’m a massive fan of his. Also, after many years of him being the villain, I’d love for him to be a hero now.”

Assuming it’s too good to be true, another fan tweeted, “Giancarlo Esposito as Professor X is my new all-time favorite Marvel casting rumor. I desperately wish it was true but I’m sure it’s not.”

Fans are clearly loving the idea of Giancarlo Esposito popping up in the MCU. His name has appeared in fantasy casting as a possible Doctor Doom in the next Fantastic Four movie. Others have been pushing for Esposito to play Magneto based on the actor’s consistent success in other popular TV series as a villainous character – and even in games, with Far Cry 6 being a case in point.

His memorable performances include Moff Gideon in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian and Stan Edgar in Prime Video’s superhero satire series The Boys.

With Better Call Saul coming to an end this summer, Esposito’s schedule will be clearer, so he may be able to step into the MCU, assuming The Rise of Gus spinoff doesn’t materialize.
