Grasshopper Manufacture’s game will be released for the other four consoles under the auspices of XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe.
Japan will be the first to get the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: they’ll get No More Heroes III for Sony’s and Microsoft’s consoles on October 6, followed by North America on October 11, and Europe on October 14. The West will also see the game on Steam, with North America and Europe getting a physical edition.
In North America, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox will also get the Day 1 Edition for $60. In addition to the disc, this will include a 70+ page 5.3 “x7.3” softcover art book, a 22-song soundtrack, and a 7 “x4” Santa Destroy motorcycle license plate. There are also two new illustrations for the game box and the outer box created by series artist Yusuke Kozaki.
Europe will also be getting a disc edition (also for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox) for €60. It will feature a brand new artwork from Kozaki alongside the game’s disc but will also include three art cards, a double-sided poster with Travis Touchdown and his Demzamtiger. So Europe is getting a pretty low-key physical package…
And here’s how the publishers describe No More Heroes III: “Being the number-one assassin in the world isn’t what it used to be. Otaku hero Travis Touchdown is back once more, forced out of retirement to defend Santa Destroy–and Earth–in an intergalactic test of might while proving he’s more than just a has-been who talks to his cat. Warm up those beam katanas, tighten the all-new Death Glove, and get ready to partake in outrageous boss battles against the evil Prince FU and his nine alien henchmen as Travis fights his way to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings! No More Heroes III will arrive on new platforms with improved HD visuals and framerates, along with faster loading times to keep players dishing out eye-popping ultraviolence.”
So No More Heroes III launches on October 11/14 in North America/Europe on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Smart Delivery is supported on Xbox, no next-gen upgrade is mentioned for PlayStation.
