Twin Sails Interactive: Asmodee Digital Renamed Itself [VIDEO]

It is not the first time recently that a renaming has occurred under Embracer Group.

Most recently, Koch Media (which includes Deep Silver and Prime Matter) announced that they would now be called Plaion, but now, the French company Asmodee Digital has renamed itself. From now on, the company, which initially focused on board games, will continue as Twin Sails Interactive. Their catalogue has expanded to include new experiences and indie games, so their identity has evolved, and they have decided to rebrand.

Twin Sails Interactive will aim to focus on original experiences. They want to publish independent (indie) and AA games (not AAA!) on consoles and PC with leading gaming industry partners. Asmodee Digital’s former chief operating officer, Nicolas Godement, has been promoted to managing director of the company, which is slowly expanding as a games publisher.

In a press release, Godement said: “We aim to become a leading game publisher, which means three things to us: a great line-up of high quality, creative titles; an amazing team of passionate game professionals; and a work environment that feels both safe and fun. By limiting the number of releases per year, we are thus able to fully commit the relevant resources needed for the success of each project.” It is an essential line of thinking to follow: they don’t want to release as many games as possible in a year, but relatively fewer with outstanding quality!

Twin Sails Interactive, which has also published a preview video of its game line-up for the coming year (embedded), has also announced that it has committed to publishing two PC games. The French company will publish News Tower from Studio Nul Games and Amberial Dreams from Lumorama.

Good luck to Twin Sails Interactive: they are admittedly not interested in AAA games, but they are worth looking for unique indie titles because if they release at a slower pace but still with a punch, they will undoubtedly get more people to know their offerings.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
