Tintin The Curious Reporter Returns In A Video Game – Watch The Trailer! [VIDEO]

Tintin Reporter – Cigars of the Pharaoh is coming in 2023 from Pendulo Studios for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

The Spanish team at Pendulo Studios is once again proving its passion for comics with the adaptation of Tintin, one of the most beloved comic book characters from the Old Continent, who will star in the action-adventure game Tintin Reporter – Cigars of the Pharaoh on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

Cigars of the Pharaoh, like the eponymous volume of the Adventures of Tintin series (originally published in 1932), follows the young reporter and his dog Snowy on their journey to the tomb of Egyptian pharaoh Kih-Oskh, in a mystery-filled story that takes them to Arabia, India and “other lands of infinite beauty,” amidst much excitement.

It promises to be an investigative adventure respectful of the original art style.

“Join Tintin in a series of action-packed puzzles as he tries to solve an international drug trafficking case by exploring the Orient, but also an ancient temple, a desert the depths of a lush jungle and other magnificent but challenging locations,” Microids notes in its announcement.

Players can expect unique and innovative gameplay that combines all the elements you would expect in an investigative adventure game: the player has to search for clues, infiltrate hostile locations and solve puzzles with investigative dialogue, lavishly enriched with great video scenes.

Tintin Reporter – Cigars of the Pharaoh is being co-produced by Microids and Moulinsart and, if all goes well, will be available in 2023 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and as you can see from the images and trailer, it’s not far from the visuals seen in the comics and their adaptations.
