Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Are These The Multiplayer Modes We’ll Get?!

A new teaser for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 seems to confirm the return of two classic game modes, Domination and Capture The Flag.

Fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 who have been eagerly awaiting to see what multiplayer game modes we’ll get can rejoice as a new teaser reveals the return of Domination and Capture the Flag. While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will likely feature several game modes outside of these, it’s good to have confirmation that some classics are returning.

Almost all fans of the Call of Duty franchise will be familiar with Domination, as it’s the most popular objective-based mode in the series.

Just as likely to feature in a Call of Duty title as Team Deathmatch or Search and Destroy, Domination sees players fighting for control of three flags. Capture the Flag also focuses on flags, though here, two teams fight to protect one flag from capture.

The teaser in question is for the upcoming Call of Duty Next event and doesn’t seem to offer much new information, but it does, in fact, contain many Easter eggs. These include possible Warzone curiosities and perk logos, which could easily escape notice due to the brevity of the teaser. As the event will also feature Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, it makes sense that they both refer to the game. According to well-known Call of Duty leaker @TheGhostOfHope, two of those references are to the aforementioned MW2 game modes.

Recently, some phishers managed to access the files of the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, revealing many details about the game.

These included several game mode icons, and sure enough, the leaked symbols for both Domination and Capture the Flag game modes are present in this teaser. Perhaps the game modes will be confirmed for Call of Duty Next, although either way, it seems likely that they will be included in Infinity Ward’s upcoming game.

Since gamers recently got some teasers of the maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there has been a lot of hype building ahead of Call of Duty Next and the upcoming beta. Domination and Capture the Flag may be playable during the test period, but if not yet, fans can still rest easy knowing that they will likely be in the game at launch.
