Steam Deck Production Breaks Records – Ordered Units To Arrive Sooner?!

Those who already have a reservation for Q4 can get their Steam Deck sooner than previously promised.

Valve has good news again for those still waiting to pre-order their Steam Deck. Thanks to increased production, some Q4 Steam Deck orders that were scheduled to arrive this year are being fulfilled as I write this.

The last batch of Q3 email pre-orders, which were estimated to arrive between July and September, went live today as Valve said they “have again exceeded production estimates”.

Reservation emails for the fourth quarter timeframe are being sent out now.

If you receive a Steam Deck reservation email, you have 72 hours to complete the transaction, and if everything goes optimally, you could be playing Cult of the Lamb, for example, on your couch within days. Just make sure your shipping and billing details are up to date.

A short blog post says Valve is “fast-tracking reservations”. Valve has doubled production of the device every week since June.

Valve has also updated its product page to say that anyone who pre-orders a Deck today should get their hands on the device between September and December.

Tokyo Game Show attendees were able to get their hands on the Steam Deck (complete with dock!) and make friends with Valve’s new mascot, Steam Pal, as it prepares for release in most regions of Asia.
