Sony has taken its time to reveal the games available to those subscribing to the middle and top tiers of PlayStation Plus.
What the hell happened, and why did it take so long? On September 28, the last Wednesday of the month, Sony announced the PlayStation Plus Essential (aka the old PS Plus equivalent) games for October, with a note that Extra and Premium games would be announced “later in the month”. Then there was no news on September 29 and 30 either, even though Sony could deliver the September list in one go. That’s what the company should be doing, not making subscribers wait two weeks… it’s unbelievable what Sony sometimes does.
Now let’s look at the announcement. All games will arrive on October 18. PlayStation Plus Extra (and Premium) subscribers will get Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition and The Medium for PlayStation 5, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition, Dragon Quest Builders, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, Dragon Quest Heroes II: Explorer’s Edition, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition, Hohokum, Inside, and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker for PlayStation 4.
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will also get Limbo, Ultra Street Fighter IV, Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered and Yakuza 5 Remastered for PlayStation 4, as well as Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Everyday Shooter on PlayStation 3, and it is leaked but not yet official that a PSP game, Ridge Racer 2, will be included.
There are no PS1 and PS2 games. That’s pretty weak.
