Capcom’s reworked Resident Evil 4 (released on almost every console since the Nintendo GameCube/PlayStation 2!) has revealed its PC system requirements.
ElAnalistaDeBits made a comparison video, putting the original Resident Evil 4 from 2005 next to the 2023 remake. On the one hand, you can see that the game’s ambience is much darker, which fits the mood of the Resident Evil 2/3 Remake we’ve seen recently, and on the other hand, you’ll have more options in combat. For example, you can defend against chainsaw-wielding enemies with your weapon so that you don’t get instant death if these enemies get too close to you. You can also see how Ashley and Ada have been given a facelift.
Resident Evil 4’s Steam page also shows the game’s system requirements, which are identical to Resident Evil: Village”s, released in May 2021. It is surprising because although both games run on the RE Engine, in the two years between the two games, one might rightly expect that with the spread of new technology, Leon S. Kennedy’s tour of Spain would require a more powerful PC…
Minimum system requirements (1080p resolution, 60 FPS frame rate if performance is preferred; frame drops can happen in graphically intensive scenes):
- 64-bit operating system and processor required
- Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version number mentioned)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200, or better
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics card (without ray tracing): Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4 GB VRAM, or better
- Graphics card (ray tracing): Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, or better
- DirectX: DX12
- Internet connection (not for nothing: Denuvo DRM will be in the game)
Recommended system requirements (approx. 1080p resolution, 60 FPS frame rate; frame drops can happen in graphically intensive scenes):

No mention was made of the free space required. Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released on March 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PC.
