A Stunning God of War Ragnarök Advert Has Been Placed on a Train in Bucharest

Following this week’s release of God of War Ragnarök, a stunning advertisement is appearing at a public train station in Bucharest, Romania.

The God of War Ragnarok it finally came out this week. The release is celebrated with a unique advertisement featuring the main duo of God of War Ragnarök, which will appear on public transport in Bucharest, Romania.

The sequel to 2018’s God of War was released on November 9 to much fanfare. As is often the case with the biggest releases on the video game calendar, God of War Ragnarok is getting a lot of publicity to promote the title.

As part of this advertising campaign, a rather impressive painting adorns Bucharest’s public transport. The ad was discovered courtesy of Reddit user Unboupeovacapeuntap, who posted the photo on the r/gaming forum. A large depiction of Kratos and Atreus, the father-son duo at the center of God of War Ragnarök, adorns the side of a streetcar. In the center of the painting is the game’s title logo, with close-ups of Kratos and Atreus parallel to the title. In the background there are mountains and a flash of lightning. The painting makes excellent use of the similarity of the characters.

The comments section of r/gaming’s post suggests that the painting is not an official advertisement designed by Sony, but graffiti by a Romanian art group. If that’s the case, then this certainly isn’t the first time that God of War itself has inspired fan art. This painting is a much bigger creative project than the one before it, which shows how much devotion the series inspires from fans who want to pay homage to it.

The painting is of such high quality that one would think the image is an official advertisement licensed by PlayStation. Even though the painting doesn’t look like an official Sony ad, the Santa Monica Studio-developed title is getting some free publicity thanks to some creative fans working on their latest game. This painting is just one needle in the haystack of hype surrounding the game, which helped God of War Ragnarök break sales records in its first week of release.
