God of War Ragnarök: A Funny Video Shows the Game From Mimir’s Perspective [VIDEO]

A God of War Ragnarök player shared a funny video showing the game and what he sees from Mimir’s point of view.

A frenetic God of War Ragnarok video showcases the game from Mimir’s perspective as Kratos explores the world around him. God of War Ragnarok continues the story of God of War (2018) and takes the protagonists Kratos and Atreus through the varied landscapes of the Nine Realms of the North. Unlike its predecessor, where players could only visit six realms, God of War Ragnarok gives players the chance to venture into the remaining three realms: Vanaheim, Asgard, and Svartalfheim.

Kratos and Atreus encounter a variety of scenic locations and vicious monsters as they traverse the nine realms in God of War Ragnarok. During their journey, they are accompanied by Mimir, who was once Odin’s advisor, but now helps the protagonists in their quest. However, Mimir only exists as a head that Kratos hangs around his waist, so his perspective is significantly different from the other characters in God of War Ragnarok. A player visualized what this might look like and put it together in a funny video.

Twitter user Ayrarnunes uploaded a video showing Mimir’s perspective in God of War Ragnarok. The video begins with Kratos punching an enemy, causing Mimir’s head to shake violently. The next few seconds show Mimir’s point of view where he sees the environment going crazy and spinning in random directions. Afterwards, Kratos and Freya in God of War Ragnarok admire a scenic landscape with a mountain and a body of water. Freya says that said location is “beautiful” as the camera pans to Mimir’s point of view, where there are only a few plants and rocks.

In the final stages of the video, we can see similar instances from God of War Ragnarok where Kratos is running. At the same time, Mimir’s world seemed to shake like an earthquake. Ayrarnunes’ video gives just a small glimpse of what Mimir would have seen alongside Kratos and Atreus in the God of War series. Even if the uncomfortable position obscured his view, Kratos was his omnipresent ally, guiding him and providing him with valuable advice when needed.

Many players don’t know that Mimir is considered one of the wisest people in the game. He had a close relationship with the Aesir before being imprisoned by Odin over 100 years ago before being freed by Kratos. Mimir asks Kratos to finish him off and take him to someone skilled in ancient magic, who happens to be Freya. Freya finally does what she has to and revives the severed head.

God of War Ragnarök is available for PS4 and PS5, you can read the test of the game here.
