MOVIE NEWS – Nicole Kidman joins the cast of Lioness, which also stars Zoe Saldana and Laysla De Oliveira.
Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman is set to star in Taylor Sheridan’s new CIA TV series Lioness, which also stars Laysla De Oliveira and Zoe Saldana. The series is called Lioness and is based on a real-life CIA unit.
De Oliveira plays Cruz Manuelos, a “rough” young Marine who joins the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to take down a terrorist group. Saldana plays station chief Joe, and Kidman plays Kaitlyn Meade, a senior CIA supervisor.
“She must juggle being a woman in the high-ranking intelligence community, a wife who craves the attention she can’t give herself, and a mentor to someone suspiciously close to the bumpy road she’s found herself on,” reads the description of the series, shared by The Hollywood Reporter.
Kidman is also executive producing the Lioness series for Paramount+. She has earned five Oscar nominations in her career, one for The Hours.
Sheridan is known as the writer and director of films such as Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River and They Want Me Dead. He also created and wrote Yellowstone and its spin-offs 1883 and 1923. Sheridan is also the co-creator of Jeremy Renner’s drama The Mayor of Kingstown.
He also works as an actor, most notably as David Hale in Sons of Anarchy.
