PS Plus Extra subscribers will have access to ten more games in January 2023 as Sony updates the catalogue later this month.
Sony has confirmed that ten games will be added to PlayStation Plus Extra in January 2023. PS Plus Extra and Premium members will get access to new titles every month, alongside the free games available to Essential tier users. While PS Plus Premium subscribers can take advantage of several features, including free downloads of time-limited trial versions of games, the main catalogue of hundreds of titles will be available to Extra and Premium members.
Free PS Plus games are available live for the month of January 2023, with subscribers able to try Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Axiom Verge 2 and Fallout 76 at no extra cost.
This allows users to play Fallen Order before the sequel’s release in March. Now Sony has revealed that ten games are coming to PS Plus Extra this January.
Sony has confirmed that PlayStation Plus Extra will include Back 4 Blood, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Life is Strange, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Jett: The Far Shore, Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Omno and Erica later this month. All these games will be available to Extra members from 17 January. Additional titles will also be added to PS Plus Premium on the same day.
New PS Plus Extra games in January 2023:
- Back 4 Blood
- Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition
- Dragon Ball FighterZ
- Erica
- Jett: The Far Shore
- Just Cause 4: Reloaded
- Life is Strange
- Life is Strange: Before the Storm
- Omno

It looks like a solid month for PS Plus Extra, with Back 4 Blood and Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition probably the biggest games on the list. Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition arrives with a few extra features for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, including support for ray tracing and a high frame rate mode that delivers 120 FPS. Members should also note that the PS4 version of Devil May Cry 5 will be included in the Extras alongside the PS5 edition of the game.
PS Plus Extra titles for December 2022 will include Mortal Shell, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, alongside various games from the Yakuza and Far Cry franchises.
PlayStation Plus Extra users have already received a game in 2023. WWE 2K22 was added on 3 January. However, only the PS4 version of WWE 2K22 was available as part of the service. So PS5 owners had to make do with the last-gen edition of the game.
