Naughty Dog’s PC port of The Last of the Us has four system requirements, so you can get a good idea of what performance you’ll need on your PC (unless you’ve got a dinosaur).
Sony has announced the system requirements for The Last of Us Part I PC Pot on the PlayStation Blog:
Minimum system requirements – 720p resolution, 30 FPS frame rate, low graphics preset:
- Operating system: Windows 10 x64, minimum v1909 version
- Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, or better
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (with 4 GB of VRAM) or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (with 4 GB of VRAM), or AMD Radeon RX 470 (with 4 GB of VRAM) or better
- DirectX: DX12 (not mentioned)
- Free storage: 100 GB (on SSD)
Recommended system requirements – 108p resolution, 60 FPS frame rate, high graphics preset:
- Operating system: Windows 10 x64, minimum v1909 version
- Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or better
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super (with 8 GB VRAM) or Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (with 8 GB VRAM), or AMD Radeon RX 5800 (with 8 GB VRAM), or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (with 8 GB VRAM), or better
- DirectX: DX12
- Free space: 100 GB (on SSD)
“Performance” system requirements – 1440p resolution, 60 FPS frame rate, high graphics preset:
- Operating system: Windows 10 x64, minimum v1909 version
- Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or better
- Memory: 32 GB RAM
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT or better

Ultra system requirements – 4K resolution, 60 FPS frame rate, ultra graphics preset:
- Operating system: Windows 10 x64, minimum v1909 version
- Processor: Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 9 5900X or better
- Memory: 32 GB RAM
- Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT or better
- DirectX: DX12
- Free storage: 100 GB (on SSD)
“This version of The Last of Us Part 1 is optimized for PC with PC-centric quality-of-life enhancements. It will feature AMD FSR 2.2 support, Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution support, VSync and frame rate cap options, and various features designed specifically for PC, including adjustable Texture Quality, Shadows, Reflections, Ambient Occlusion, and more,” Naughty Dog wrote.
The PC port of The Last of Us Part I will arrive on March 28 (it was originally due on the third but was delayed slightly).
