MOVIE NEWS – The Fast series would be unimaginable without Vin Diesel, even though at the time he had to be convinced to take on the lead role in the low-budget but high-octane production .

Diesel had already proven himself in one of the important supporting roles in Saving Private Ryan, and as the main actor he made the sci-fi horror movie called Pitch Black – darkness every 22 years a success – of which has also become a franchise over the years – and he was preparing for his next big hit, but he never dreamed that it would be in Fast. What’s more, he initially had reservations about the production, which was inspired by a newspaper article about street drag racing. However, director Rob Cohen managed to convince him, in one dramatic conversation, or so Diesel told Entertainment Weekly. Cohen presented his vision for a technically very bravura scene in which the camera starts from the protagonist’s eyes, enters the car, and stops at the roaring engine. “So this is how we convey the idea that man and machine merge into one. It’s pure madness, I decided that I was in it,” recalled Dom Toretto’s lifelong creator.

After that, Diesel had the honor of having a say in polishing the script as a rising star, some of the dialogues became smoother as a result, and a few contradictions in the plot were also eliminated.

The Fast series became a concept in 22 years, the heroes got into a whirlwind of increasingly spectacular and physics-defying adventures, but between two huge actions they always had time to discuss the importance of family for them. The tenth part, which ends the series – which will be released as two independent films – will be a fitting farewell, the protagonists say goodbye. That much is certain, while the details of the story of Fast 10 cannot be known for sure. But the legend will presumably continue after the grand finale with the separate stories of the characters and the adventures of the next generation, as the officials of the production studio have already hinted at several times.
