This is Tekken 8’s Biggest Surprise: A Legendary Character Has Died for Good!

The latest installment in the Tekken series, Tekken 8, will be released soon on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms. In the game, two members of the Mishima family, Kazuya and Jin Kazama, clash in a city-destroying battle that will end the series’ story.

But this is not the only shocking news on the topic of Tekken 8 that the game developers have in store for fans. According to a recent announcement, the death of a legendary character is permanent: Heihachi Mishima, founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu and Kazuya’s father. Heihachi died in Tekken 7 when Kazuya punched him in the heart and threw him into a volcano. Many thought that Heihachi somehow survived this, as he had so many times before, but now it turns out that this is not the case.

Heihachi’s death will have a big impact on the story of Tekken 8, as Kazuya can now fear no one. As the head of G Corporation, he is taking over the world and only Jin can stop him. Who will win in the final battle? And what will happen to Jun Kazama, who returns to the game after more than 25 years?

In Tekken 8, many new features await players: new characters, new game mechanics and stunning graphics. The game is made with the Unreal Engine 5 engine, which takes advantage of the capabilities of new generation consoles and PCs.

There will also be changes to the gameplay: a new “Heat” system that allows players to fight more aggressively and use special moves. The Heat gauge is replenished when the player deals or receives damage. When the gauge is full, the player can activate Heat mode, which increases their strength and speed for a period of time. In Heat mode, the player can also use the so-called Heat Attack, which is a powerful attack that can break through the opponent’s defense.

Tekken 8 will also have online and offline modes: Versus, Arcade, Story, Practice, Treasure Battle and Online Tournament. In online modes, players can compete against each other on leaderboards or in friendly matches. The game also supports cross-play, which means that players on different platforms can compete against each other.

Tekken 8 will be an exciting and spectacular fighting game that will be a fitting conclusion to the Mishima saga. The release date of the game is not yet known, but it is expected to hit stores in 2024.
