Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: Latest Patch Has Arrived – Is the Game Finally Playable?!

A new update for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been released, which fixes several issues on PS5 and Xbox Series.

Respawn and EA have released a new patch for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. The fresh patch fixes several bugs and glitches that have been plaguing the game since the beginning. The sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was finally released last weekend on most major platforms and received warm reviews from critics.

Although Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was a massive hit before launch with its new lightsaber combat styles and surprisingly deep character customization options, the game’s release was not without its shortcomings.

Continuing a trend that has unfortunately become all too prevalent in recent years, the game came with several bugs that disrupted gameplay. These have poisoned the experience for many and resulted in a wave of negative player reviews. The PC port of the game seems to be the one that is struggling the most with these technical problems. But the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S console editions are not immune.

Fortunately, EA and Respawn have promised to address these issues with patches. The first of these was released on PC on Monday, and offered some serious performance improvements. Now an extended patch package has been released for consoles, as predicted by yesterday’s announcement post on EA’s Star Wars Twitter account. The update is 1.17 GB in size and includes several improvements that have already been implemented in the PC version. These address various graphical issues, the game’s occasional crashes, and a few other reported problems.

One of the most significant issues that this latest Star Wars Jedi: Survivor update fixes is a bug in Chamber of Duality where the player could get trapped in the dungeon. In such cases, he was forced to restart the game from the beginning if he hadn’t saved his gameplay first. Players also encountered other bugs. These included Cal permanently losing XP after killing a particular enemy and problems with the HDR settings in Jedi: Survivor.

Fortunately, some players have found a solution to the latter problem by changing a particular setting on the PlayStation 5.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a fun game. But a lot of bugs can ruin a player’s experience. Especially when it comes to losing vital progress or experience points. The latest patch may not solve all the problems that have been bothering fans since launch, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
