Mortal Kombat 1’s First Season Pass Has Already Leaked!

NetherRealm Studios and Warner have barely announced the game, and now we have details about the first season pass (or, as they call it, Kombat Pack 1). It doesn’t seem fair.

The information has surfaced on Reddit, published by a reliable site. Even if it’s not a website specializing in video games, Amazon Italy has listed which characters will be added to the new Mortal Kombat, announced a few days ago when it is released. It’s weird because we still have four months to wait before the game is released…

There will be six playable characters in Kombat Pack 1. They are Quan-Chi, Omni Man, Ermac, Peacemaker, Takeda, and Homelander. There will also be five Kameo characters: Tremor, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, and Ferra. There will also be a character skin, as it is how Jean-Claude Van Damme will get into Mortal Kombat 1, which is how he will start collaborating with other, bigger IPs and characters.

The information that surfaced on the Italian Amazon is not yet confirmed, so it could change, as it has only emerged in the description of a listing. However, knowing the gaming industry, it can be said that the leak is accurate. It’s pretty sad that four months before the game’s release, the first Season Pass was leaked, which means that this content has simply been cut from the base game to charge players and fans of the franchise even more money. If it was a niche fighting game (e.g., Guilty Gear Strive or DNF Duel from Arc System Works), it’s understandable because it’s to keep interest, but for a mainstream, western IP, it’s more like greed.

The new installment in the franchise rebooted once again after Mortal Kombat 9, Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, guaranteed to include Denuvo).
