Unstoppable! John Wick 5: The Action Hero Returns!

MOVIE NEWS – He didn’t vanish forever from the screen: John Wick 5 is already under development! The new sequel of the action film series is expected to land in cinemas in the future.

Attention all John Wick fans! No more waiting and guessing, as Lionsgate has officially confirmed: John Wick 5 is under development. Director Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves, the protagonist and producer of the series, have always emphasized that quality is important to them, and they never rush the time between parts. At the end of John Wick 4 (spoiler warning!) it seemed that the story had ended, but Lionsgate is looking to the future.

Lionsgate Chairman Joe Drake reassured investors in a recent financial conversation that the company fully supports further Wick films. “We’re now moving across that franchise, not just in the AAA video game space, but looking at what the regular cadence of spin-offs, television really growing that universe so that there is a steady cadence of a franchise that there’s clear appetite by the audience,” Drake said.

What he officially announced is that Ballerina [starring Ana de Armas] will be the first spinoff, which will be presented next year. Three others are under development, including John Wick 5 and the TV series The Continental, which will be aired soon. “So we’re building out the world and when that fifth film comes, it will be organic – it will be organically grown out of how we’re starting to tell those stories. But you can rely on a regular cadence of John Wick,” he added.

So, the action hero, John Wick, is returning, and this will surely reassure fans who can’t get enough of the franchise’s dynamic, action-packed scenes. Studios would not let a successful franchise disappear into nothing, and the John Wick series has proved that it is worthy of the attention.
