Mortal Kombat 1: Mortal Kombat’s Sonya Blade Uses WWE Champion’s Legendary Finishing Move [VIDEO]

Sonya Blade performs a move in Mortal Kombat 1 that is very similar to Randy Orton’s famous RKO.

Mortal Kombat is a legendary martial arts video game series, the first part of which was released in 1992. In the series, you can also play as a character named Sonya Blade, who is a member of special forces and fights against the evil Shang Tsung. Players have now been surprised to see Sonya Blade using a move in the new Mortal Kombat 1 game that closely resembles WWE Superstar Randy Orton’s trademark RKO.

The RKO is a finishing move that Orton often uses in the ring to defeat his opponents. The essence of the move is that Orton suddenly strikes the opponent’s neck and head, while he himself falls to the ground. The RKO is considered by many to be one of the most spectacular and effective finishing moves in WWE, and is often used by Orton as a surprise.

In the new Mortal Kombat game, one of Sonya Blade’s attacks is very similar to the RKO, though not exactly the same. Not only does Sonya Blade strike the opponent’s neck and head, but she also turns herself in the air and kicks the opponent’s face with her foot. This move is perhaps even more brutal than the RKO, as it can cause not only neck injuries, but also facial bone fractures.

Players are now wondering if this similarity is a coincidence or if Sonya Blade’s move was actually inspired by Randy Orton. According to some, the creators of the game may be familiar with Orton’s family, as both his father and grandfather were famous pancrators. According to others, however, this is just a coincidence, since the RKO is not a unique move, but has been used by several other pancrats before.

Be that as it may, players are enjoying this curiosity and many are trying Sonya’s Blade move in the game. Maybe Randy Orton would watch this video game and decide for himself whether or not Sonya Blade pays tribute to him.
