Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1: Most Of Snake’s Story [VIDEO]

The main games will be available for purchase separately, one at a time.

Konami has announced that the collection is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), and Nintendo Switch. There will be a physical release of the console versions, and on PC, there’s a good chance we’ll get the “bonus” Denuvo, which is ridiculous because the newest game in the collection is 19 years old. It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about the 2012 PS3/X360 HD Collection release, it’s still an old game, and we shouldn’t need to unnecessarily load the game with DRM that will stutter on all rigs.

But let’s see what’s included in the $/€60 collection. Included in the bundle will be Metal Gear Solid (+VR Missions/Special Missions), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version), Metal Gear (MSX), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and as a bonus, the Famicom/NES version of Metal Gear (which Hideo Kojima did not know of) and its sequel, Snake’s Revenge (and Kojima had nothing to do with that either), so we get two black sheep to four excellent games and one decent one because the MSX Metal Gear has its flaws. The three Metal Gear Solids will be available individually for $/€20. Regional versions will also be available as an extra download.

There will be a digital graphic novel for Metal Gear Solid parts one and two, we’ll get the script and the “Master Book” (book of tips and tricks, if we had to guess… a playthrough book?) for all three MGS, but we’ll also get this pair for the two Metal Gears, but the two games will be crammed into one copy each. All this will be available digitally from the main menu. We’ll also digitally get the soundtrack from Metal Gear Solid, with twenty songs.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 will be released on October 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
