Activision Blizzard Already Admitted Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s Leak!

We will not be without Call of Duty this year either, although they could easily skip a year, as there is a good chance that Microsoft’s deal will be done this year, so they could be the game’s publisher (they recently extended the deadline).

On Twitter (on X… who the hell is going to call it X?), Call of Duty specialist CharlieIntel shared images published by @algebra_sloth showing promotional, marketing images of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The game’s name is written in Roman numerals because, due to a severe lack of creativity in the games industry, the game will have the same name as 2011’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The images are related to the Monster Energy energy drink marketing campaign, and we can see the game’s protagonist, Captain Price, and perhaps Vladimir Makarov, one of the series’ troublemakers. However, Activision Blizzard did not delete the leak (the publisher led by Bobby Kotick has done this so far). Still, a short message on Call of Duty’s Twitter admitted that it was not a hoax or a photoshopped image: “Whew. Mondays. Anyone has an energy drink they can spare?”, also referring to the Monster pictures. Sledgehammer Games and last week are leading 2023’s Call of Duty. We learned that the characters (operators), weapons, and bundles from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be coming to the new installment, which initially started as an add-on but has been turned into a full-fledged title (and thus a full-priced, €70 game). The publisher has not yet confirmed this detail, nor has it been confirmed that the maps and modes from last year’s installment will be carried over to the 2023 game.

This year’s Call of Duty has not been officially unveiled. Still, Activision Blizzard will soon do so, as the fifth seasons of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will be launched in early August, and in the meantime, it will be able to show off what it has in store for this year…
