Gameplay footage showing the gameplay of Ubisoft’s upcoming mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade has been leaked prematurely from the game’s ongoing closed beta.
Gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed Jade has leaked online ahead of schedule from the ongoing closed beta of the mobile game in development. Ubisoft is working on a significant number of Assassin’s Creed games that will be released in the coming years. Assassin’s Creed Jade is being developed specifically for iOS and Android devices. It is the most ambitious AC third-person action game on mobile to date.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has a long history on mobile devices, dating back to the first mobile spin-off Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles in 2008.
Assassin’s Creed Jade is Ubisoft’s most ambitious mobile project to date. While the performance of mobile devices is still limited, Ubisoft is working to make ACJ as faithful as possible to fans’ expectations of the franchise’s action – with a few caveats. Leaked footage from the game’s closed beta already shows Ubisoft’s efforts. The gameplay features an expansive open environment, story-driven mission structure, stealthy investigation and fast-paced combat with weapon swaps, melee and ranged.
The leaked gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed Jade lasts nearly 90 minutes. It includes several missions. In these, the protagonist of the new Assassin’s Creed will attempt to liberate settlements from the invading Xiongnu forces. The player levels up from 16 to 19 during the video. It also unlocks the talent skill tree nodes. He upgrades and upgrades his weapons and equipment. Overall, it briefly introduces the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Jade. Of course, the game still has some limitations as it is limited to mobile platforms.
Touch controls are on the right side of the screen, dozens of button elements clutter the UI, and it’s very likely that ACJ will feature a monetized progression system similar to Diablo Immortal.
It’s similar to a full premium Assassin’s Creed experience but still remarkably different.
It should be clarified that the gameplay footage leaked from the game is from the game’s beta and is subject to change. That the footage has been leaked and remains available to watch is a surprise. Still, it’s undeniable that Ubisoft and its development partner ACJ have done an impressive job of recreating the Assassin’s Creed experience to this extent.
