Titan Quest was released in 2006, and since then, we’ve gone through two and a half generations of consoles! A lot has changed since then…

Titan Quest was released for PC in 2006. THQ published Iron Lore Entertainment’s game; since then, both companies have gone out of business. The namesake THQ Nordic, meanwhile, has brought the game to iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch; Black Forest Games ported the action RPG to consoles. (The studio, meanwhile, is working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, as we reported earlier today.)

The sequel, however, is not being developed by Iron Lore Entertainment, nor even by their spinoff Crate Entertainment, but by Bavarian developer Grimlore Games, who last released Spellforce III. Here’s the game’s overview: “Return to the classic mythology-inspired setting of Titan Quest and go toe-to-toe with the legendary monsters in this action-packed RPG as you journey across a fantastical reimagining of ancient Greece! Nemesis, Goddess of Retribution, is out of control. She is corrupting the Threads of Fate and punishing all who oppose her. Pick up your weapon, fight epic battles alongside the Gods, and change fate itself in Titan Quest II! It offers a flexible character system: combine two masteries to create your hero, including the class. Every bit of loot is important—even the most common spear can be upgraded to a unique weapon worthy of legendary tales! Enemies can form factions and work together to combine their abilities and skills. A beautiful, handcrafted world awaits! Traverse stunning vistas with your divine mount and explore environments filled with details and secrets.”

Titan Quest II is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam). No release date is known (and that’s a running gag in today’s news regarding THQ Nordic’s show…).
