One More Level’s game follows the trends: the most expensive version will also offer earlier access.
505 Games and One More Level weren’t kidding when they promised more news for August 21: the publisher and studio first announced when we could expect the game (we don’t have to wait much longer), and it was confirmed that Ghostrunner II will be available in three editions. However, the physical edition will only be available for the standard version. The base edition will be priced at €/$40. Those who pre-order will receive the Traditional Katana Pack (two sword and hand skins).
The Deluxe Edition will be available digitally only for €/$50. It will include four additional sword and hand skins on top of the standard edition and a personalized hand hologram with your current username. The Brutal Edition, for €/$70, will include all the content of the Deluxe Edition worth €/$20 season pass (new game modes, four asset packs, animated hand/sword skin, engine skin) and two days early access to the game, so you can start playing from October 24 instead of the October 26 launch.
When they announced the beta one and a half weeks ago, we already recapped Ghostrunner II: “Blood will run in the highly anticipated hardcore first-person perspective slasher set one year after the events of Ghostrunner. Adventure through a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk future after the fall of the Keymaster, a tyrant who ruled over Dharma Tower, humanity’s last refuge. Jack is back to take on the violent AI cult assembled outside Dharma Tower and shape the future of humanity. Featuring incredible katana combat mechanics, a deeper exploration of the world beyond Dharma Tower, nonlinear levels with complex motorbike sections, exciting new modes, and all the action you loved about Ghostrunner. Plus, boss fights are more interactive, allowing players to choose how to survive battles against the most formidable opponents.
Ghostrunner II introduces new skills, allowing players to be more creative and take on even the most demanding encounters with greater accessibility. However, enemies in Ghostrunner II behave uniquely dependent on the skills used against them, providing a fresh challenge with each encounter. The player progression system has been completely redone, providing opportunities to experiment and customize gameplay. Master the Cybervoid if you hope to survive. Take on challenging new enemies as you traverse interactive environments, including exploding barrels, destructible walls, helpful, neutral entities, and countless improvements that keep combat exciting and fresh. Can’t get enough? Dive even deeper into the lore and plot with the new dialogue system. Save humanity in style as you decimate your opponents while listening to the captivating synthwave soundtrack featuring new music from Daniel Deluxe, We Are Magonia, Gost, Dan Terminus, and Arek Reikowski.”
Ghostrunner II will launch on October 26 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). The Brutal Edition owners can play from October 24.
