Gearbox’s IP will be available for almost all consoles, with the only exception being Borderlands 3’s complete version.
We’ll summarise two announcements this time, starting with the previously leaked Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box, which has been released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One by 2K (=Take-Two) earlier today. For a short time, you can buy the pack for $/€60, which would otherwise cost $/€150. Why the hell is Take-Two charging so much?
It includes Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, Borderlands 3, and New Tales from the Borderlands, so all the main parts of the franchise with all the DLC released for them. It is only available digitally, so there will be no physical release for this collection. However, the situation varies from platform to platform if you already own one of the games in the franchise!
On Xbox, if you have any of Gearbox’s IP, the Microsoft Store will automatically bring the discounted price down even further, so you can get the pack for $/€30 on Xbox Series and Xbox One instead of 60. On Steam, if you already have a game, you only pay for the content you don’t have, and it’s listed on the Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box Steam page. On PlayStation, if you have Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (PlayStation 4), Borderlands: The Handsom Collection (PlayStation 4), or Borderlands 3 (PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4; all three are available digitally or on disc), you can get the complete collection for $/€30 by launching one of the games and following the instructions.
And for Nintendo Switch, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition will be released on October 6, which will include the base game, over thirty cosmetic items, and Hoxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock, Bounty of Blood, Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck, Designer’s Cut, and Director’s Cut DLC.
