A trusted and well-established leaker has revealed the six ‘headline games’ for the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogues for September 2023.

 

 

A new PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalogue leak for September 2023 claims that 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 and Unpacking, among others, could be coming. According to the leaker, this is a headline selection. So subscribers and fans should not expect games bigger than these.

While an excellent selection in itself, many PlayStation Plus subscribers are unlikely to be happy with this selection. The service has come in for more criticism than usual for the recent price hikes and the downward trend in choice in general. Now that this is a leak, fans should still take it with a grain of salt.

However, the leaker’s track record suggests that fans can expect this rumour to be accurate, as it has accurately leaked several PS Plus game selections in the past.

The leak is from Billbil-kunt. He used to leak PlayStation Plus free games every month regularly. Billbil-kun says the PS Plus Extra and Premium headline games are the NieR Replicant beats. 1.22474487139…, Star Ocean: The Divine Force, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Sid Meier’s Civilization 6, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 and Unpacking. And while a few of these titles have cult followings or significant AAA backing (games like Civilization 6), most of them, for some reason, don’t really feel like title characters. Nevertheless, fans should adjust their expectations accordingly.

While each game is fine on its own, together, they don’t make a compelling selection. At least until fans see what else is on offer. Thankfully, PS Plus is sticking to its typical pattern. According to Billbil-kun, fans can check out the other games on September 13.

Given the sheer volume of PS Plus Extra and Premium games made available each month, they can roughly expect a dozen more.

Until then, and after that date, fans can still claim PlayStation Plus free games for September 2023. These include Saints Row, Black Desert: Traveler Edition and Generation Zero. All three are open-world titles but have received limited traction or negative reception. Saints Row developer Volition also closed this month, leaving an extra sour taste in the mouths of PS Plus fans.
