Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold exchange, Xbox Game Pass Core, gives you access to Fallout 4, Hellblade, Vampire Survivors and more.
Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold replacement, Xbox Game Pass Core, launches today. The Xbox manufacturer originally announced Game Pass Core in July, promising more than 25 games. Microsoft has now revealed that the complete list of 36 games includes Fallout 4, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and Vampire Survivors, among many others.
Xbox Game Pass Core launches today, September 14, and existing Xbox Live Gold members will automatically be upgraded to the new subscription, which costs the same as Xbox Live Gold at $9.99 per month (or $59.99 per year).
Microsoft has removed the Games with Gold discount in favour of the 36 games that come with the subscription. The list will be updated two or three times a year. So Microsoft plans to keep the library as fresh as the other Xbox Game Pass tiers.
Game Pass Core also includes access to online multiplayer. This is not included with the standard Xbox Game Pass subscription, which costs $10.99 a month. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is still required to take advantage of Game Pass and online multiplayer.
