Guardians of the Galaxy: Chris Pratt Reported on His Amazing Water Diet!

CINEMA NEWS – Chris Pratt had to drink water all day for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy, but viewers should be careful if they try this at home.

Pratt seems to be embroiled in scandal from time to time, whether it’s controversial public statements about his personal life or dividing fans over Pratt’s Mario voice. Now, however, it appears that the blame lies more with a media company that misrepresented the actor’s Guardians of the Galaxy training program with Marvel nutritionists, sparking concern among netizens.

Vanity Fair originally reported that Pratt had to drink 220 glasses of water a day for his role as Star-Lord, one glass for every pound of body weight he lost during his intense workouts. This was combined with a 4,000 calorie/day diet, and other clients of Pratt’s nutritionist just stared at him in the gym for sweating profusely. “Sweat was dripping from him, he was out of breath. There was just one person in the room overdoing it,” her nutritionist said. Pratt added, “I had to pee all day, every day. It was a nightmare.”

However, Variety Fair got the original story wrong, and a few days later they updated the article to say that Pratt drank about 6.237 liters a day, meaning he consumed about 28.35 milliliters for every kilogram of his body weight. This is equivalent to approximately 13 bottles of water per day. There’s no denying that this intense diet was worth the effort, as Star-Lord was the role of his life, and the Guardians of the Galaxy game drew inspiration from Pratt’s portrayal.

Pratt first rose to fame with his role as Andy Dwyer in the TV series Adopted Forever. The character’s charm and humor, due in part to Pratt’s personality, made him a fan favorite. Originally, she was only supposed to appear in the first season, but the producers and the audience loved her so much that she became a regular in the iconic series. Pratt’s improvisational and comedic talents helped land him the role of Star-Lord, which eventually turned him into a hero. For Star-Lord fans, a deleted scene from Thor: Love and Thunder may be of interest.

Despite previous descriptions of Pratt’s diet as deadly, 220 ounces of water per day is still not an inconsiderable amount given the concerns of having to go to the toilet constantly at night. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 wrapped up Star-Lord’s character arc and the trilogy was successful, so frequent bathroom use is a small price to pay for his role.

The Guardians of the Galaxy movies are available on Disney Plus.
