Dead Island 2’s First Story DLC Is Coming Soon [VIDEO]

Haus will provide a surreal, psychological horror experience.

Here’s an overview of the DLC: “Lose yourself in a surreal, psychological horror dreamscape as you investigate a mysterious Malibu cult. Haus offers players an all-new zombie-killing storyline. In the midst of the zombie apocalypse, a billionaire’s secret techno-death cult fights for survival in Haus, where humanity is unleashed from its moral restraints. The group’s leader, Constantine, prophesies that this is the “model of a new future. It’s up to the players to prove them wrong. Players will fight their way through Haus with new weapons and maps to use against the ever-growing population of undead looking for their next meal.

Haus takes place in an all-new location, a mysterious and stylish Malibu mansion where the boundaries of morality are pushed to the limit. This nightmarish location serves as both a sanctuary and a machine for stripping flesh and harvesting souls. Players will weave through the deranged labyrinth of biomes where rational architecture is subverted by expanding narrative spaces.

Players will have new killing tools to survive the horror. The K-Rossbow is designed for precision and lethality. Unleash devastating long-range firepower and explode zombified brains with ease. The Hog Roaster is the ultimate ticket to visceral killing. Why butcher one zombie when you can grill them at the same time? Use Dead Islands to take the weight off your shoulders while you blast undead foes into oblivion. Enhance your Slayer with an expanded arsenal of skills with eight new Skill Cards”.

The first story DLC for Dambuster Studios’ game will be released on November 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Along with the weapons, the locations have also been given showcase videos alongside the gallery. It’s questionable how much interest there will be in the DLC, as Deep Silver, the publisher, will keep a close eye on it…
