Mortal Kombat 1: Introducing Omni-Man in a New Gameplay Video! [VIDEO]

Mortal Kombat 1’s first DLC fighter, Omni-Man, is introduced in new gameplay footage, and he’s absolutely menacing.

Arguably the best fighting game of the year, Mortal Kombat 1 has provided an unprecedented amount of gory, bone-crushing fun since its release, provided you’re not playing on Nintendo Switch…

We called the game a “safe but gloriously bloody delight” in our review, which you can check out here , and we swooned over the incredible graphics, familiar gameplay, and reinvention of classic and beloved characters.

While fan favorites like Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and more are all here, there are plenty of new faces joining the roster, most notably the upcoming DLC fighters. The first otherworldly fighter to join the fray is none other than Invincible’s adversary Omni-Man, who was recently given a first look and it’s safe to say fans liked what they saw.

NetherRealm shared the gameplay trailer on Mortal Kombat’s official Twitter account: “Realms tremble under the weight of the Viltrum Empire,” followed by a minute of Omni-Man tearing things apart.

His moves look like they’re straight out of the Amazon Prime Video series, which has a second season coming soon, and his death punches are literally deadly.

In one move, Omni-Man holds his opponent in front of a moving train, which he also used on his son Mark (Invincible) in the season one finale. And in another move, he crushes his opponent’s skull, the same move he used on Red Rush in the first episode of the first season.

She looks amazing and the icing on the cake is that her voice actor J.K. With Simmons reprising his role, we’re sure there will be some interesting dialogue between Omni-Man and the rest of the characters, though we’re personally looking forward to seeing The Boy face off against Homelander, who will also be a DLC character.

The first wave of Mortal Kombat 1 DLCs will be released sometime in November for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
