One of The Mandalorian actors Reacted to Rumours that Pedro Pascal will be Replaced

MOVIE NEWS – One of the actors from The Mandalorian series has responded to rumors that Pedro Pascal is being replaced by a Star Wars fan favorite in the title role.

The Mandalorian actor Katee Sackhof has commented on rumors that Bo-Katan is planning to take on Pedro Pascal’s titular bounty hunter as the series prepares to film its fourth season.

The Mandalorian was a big hit on Disney Plus, the protagonist Pascal was joined by an all-star team, most notably Sackhoff in his almost iconic role as Bo-Katan Kryze’s fellow Mandalorian. The industry has restarted after the strikes, and it was recently revealed that The Mandalorian season 4 is being filmed on Disney Plus.

Many fans believed that Bo-Katan’s Mandalorian story would surpass that of Din Djarin, leading to speculation that Bo-Katan would be the focus of the show’s possible final season. Speaking to The Direct, the Mandalorian star firmly addressed the rumours. “No,” Sackhoff said emphatically when asked if the idea ever came up behind the scenes. “I think there’s always going to be a lot of speculation in this fandom. You know, I think that’s one of the reasons why people love this fandom so much. And they love this universe so much that a lot of times they allow just enough ambiguity for people to interpret it as things the way they want them to. And from that comes the ability to get a lot of misinformation out, or just, you know, wishful thinking.” Sackhoff also confirmed that The Mandalorian is still Din Djarin’s show.

“I think in this situation, I think the story of the Mandalorians and the story of Bo-Katan needed to be told, I don’t think it takes away from Din [Djarin’s] story in any way, and that was never the intention. And you know, Pedro and I are not responsible for who leads the series.”

“This is Din Djarin’s series and always will be Din Djarin’s series.”

Although Sackoff had the last word, it’s easy to see why some fans might think so. In addition to Bo-Katan’s storyline begging for more screen time and attention, protagonist Pascal has also been in high demand lately, reportedly close to starring in the Fantastic Four reboot, pending details on his availability. . This potential scheduling conflict and the character’s seemingly resolved storyline means some fans won’t be as keen on The Mandalorian continuing to be Din Djarin’s show than Sackoff.

Regardless of who the main character will be, some fans believe that the series should end with season 4, as it is now clear that Star Wars may fall into Marvel’s trap with its current content strategy. Although series like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka enjoy good ratings, the waning of interest since 2019 is more visible than ever. The franchise is long overdue for a break from TV and a return to the big screen, and no well-written series full of fanservice and easter eggs is going to fill that void in the interim. With several films reportedly in development, including one produced by Dave Filoni, fans can expect those in charge to pull the trigger on the new approach.

The Mandalorian 1-3. season is currently available to stream on Disney Plus.
