MOVIE NEWS – It was already announced at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and the team of Sonic 3 has now announced that the fierce opponent of the hedgehog will really enter the fight, Shadow, i.e. Shadow. The film’s X- (formerly Twitter) page posted a photo showing Shadow’s fists and shoes in the company of a ticking trapper in full swing. Shadow got his name from the fact that he is a kind of dark anti-Sonic: an evil copy of the good hedgehog, an artificially created being who, of course, has a big plan.
Production on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has been halted due to the big Hollywood actor’s strike, but as Digital Spy has learned, the crew has been working a bit: they shot scenes without actors because they weren’t covered by the mandatory work stoppage under. Now they have attached it, and the creators have only one regret: Jim Carrey, who until now played Dr. Robotnik, the mad scientist, is not joining the team, as he has retired from acting for an indefinite period.
However, the film’s producers never thought of asking another actor to replace Carrey. “Jim Carrey is a permanent member of the Sonic family, and his character is so intertwined with the character of Dr. Robotnik that no one else can replace him,” one of the producers, Neal H. Moritz, told IGN. “We hope that Jim will return to us one day, because I don’t think he can leave this classic character behind either.”
So the Moritzes sorely lack Carrey’s charisma, but they don’t have to worry about being left without a main villain, since there are just enough negative characters left in Sonic’s galaxy. Páldául Shadow, who has already logged into the game.
