So Is Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 In The Works Or Not? An Actor Has Spoken!

MOVIE NEWS – There’s some disappointing news about Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 from a cast member who only knows one thing about the future of the Star Wars series…

Obi-Wan Kenobi star Joel Edgerton has made it clear that he’s just as in the dark about Season 2 of the Disney Plus series as Star Wars fans are.

The first season of Obi-Wan Kenobi took place ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005): in the series, Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) went on a mission to save Princess Leia from the Galactic Empire.

This leads to more clashes with his former student, Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen). The series received generally positive reviews from fans and critics. Ever since Season 1 ended, fans have been wondering if the show will return for more seasons. However, the fate of the Disney Plus series still seems uncertain.

In an interview with Slash Film, Joel Edgerton indicated that he knows nothing about Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2. Also, about whether Lucasfilm is considering the possibility of another edition of the series. Edgerton said: “I haven’t heard. Either it’s happening and they don’t want me or it, I don’t know, I haven’t, no. The short answer is no, I haven’t. And I’m not even faking that I don’t know.” Also, the actor mentioned that if there is an Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 and he is in it, his appearance will be different.

“If it does happen, and I am in it, I’ll probably be wearing brown, or some shade of brown. That’s all I know.”

Edgerton plays Owen Lars, Luke Skywalker’s step-uncle and surrogate father. This is not the first time the actor has played the character. He previously appeared as Lars in 2002’s Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Revenge of the Sith. The actor received praise for his performance in the Disney Plus series. Fans wondered if they would ever see him again in the Star Wars universe.

Rumours about Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 are constantly circulating on social media. But there has been no encouraging news from Lucasfilm or Disney. At this year’s Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that a second season is not in development. But Kennedy did not reject the idea. He indicated that it might still happen at some point in the future. If Season 2 gets the green light, it could deepen different plots. For example, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s training with his late Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Meanwhile, another storyline may involve Reva and her escape from the Galactic Empire and Darth Vader.

It is not yet known if there will be an official announcement that Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 will be made. However, fans would love to see the character back on screen.
