Henry Cavill Warms The Hearts Of Warhammer 40,000 Fans In An Interview! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Although the actor can’t share details about the production, he is grateful to participate in the entire initiative related to Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 franchise.

Henry Cavill can boast that many of his dreams have come true in film and television, playing great popular characters such as Superman or Geralt of Rivia. Another of his dreams may soon come true with the adaptation of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, which he has been working on with Amazon for more than a year.

We know all this from the British actor himself, who expressed in a recent interview how proud he is to be developing this project.

“It is the greatest privilege of my professional career to have this opportunity. I can’t say too much, again, it’s early days still. But to have this opportunity to bring it to screen, and be at the tiller so it can be faithful, is key to me. This is the stuff I’ve been dealing with since I was a kid. This is the stuff I spend my free time daydreaming about, as an adult as well, and I get to bring it into life. There is no greater reason than I joined the industry than doing something like this,” he said during the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

Amazon Studios and Henry Cavill announced their project to develop the Warhammer 40K universe at the end of 2022. Just as Cavill’s departure from both The Witcher and the DCEU was confirmed after James Gunn landed at Warner Bros. The project has since been given the green light. However, no details can be shared yet.

We’re definitely getting a Warhammer 40,000 video game this year

By now, both the tabletop and video game communities are well aware of Warhammer 40,000’s enormous potential to accommodate great stories. This year, too, the range will be expanded with several new Wh40K games on PC, consoles and mobile. However, one title is worth highlighting right now, and this is the second part of the hugely successful Space Marine. In addition, Inquisitor: Martyr, which is slowly gaining cult-classic status, will get another character DLC this year!

Returning to Henry Cavill and the sci-fi/space fantasy saga, this is not the first time the British actor has spoken excitedly about his involvement in it. A few weeks after Amazon’s announcement, the star said that he has been dreaming of seeing a live-action Warhammer production for 30 years.
