Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed: Abandoning The Wii For Newer Platforms [VIDEO]

Junction Point Studios, which worked on the two Epic Mickey games, has been closed for eleven years, but Purple Lamp Studios is bringing the first installment to more modern platforms.

Epic Mickey was released for the Nintendo Wii in November 2010, and the game was very good. Many of you may also know the director, as Warren Spector was behind the project. His work has certainly been played through System Shock (producer) or Deus Ex (director). He wrote the following in the press release “I’ve received more heartfelt fan mail about Disney Epic Mickey from gamers of all ages than any other project I’ve worked on – a true indicator of the game’s timelessness. That my team and I could contribute to that legacy is truly an honor, and I’m thrilled that fans old and new can once again enjoy the adventures of Mickey and Oswald in the Wasteland.” Luigi Priore, Vice President of Disney, Pixar and 20th Century Games, added: “Having been involved from the very beginning of the creative idea all those years ago, I can’t wait for new players to discover this enduring classic on modern consoles. We are thrilled that fans of the original will be able to relive their own experiences with paintbrushes and thinner.”

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed brings the magic of Disney to life in a vibrant 3D platformer. This beautiful remake sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey through the Wasteland, a realm of forgotten Disney characters. Collect virtual Disney pins, complete creative challenges and uncover secrets as you explore classic platforming levels inspired by animated films and shorts. Originally conceived by Warren Spector and reimagined by Purple Lamp, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed uses state-of-the-art visuals and improved controls to breathe new life into a beloved classic.
