Kevin Costner’s Longtime Dream Comes True: Trailer For Horizon: An American Saga Arrives! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – In addition, this year, Kevin Costner’s Western epic appears with not one but two films in a row!

The Western movie genre is very much alive. Almost every year, there is at least one, if not more, cinemas that are capable of being pulled out with several cigars on any given afternoon or evening. This summer, we can be sure of it with the presentation of the first two parts of Horizon: An American Saga. It’s Kevin Costner’s lifelong dream, and the first extended trailer has just been released. (See at the end of the article!)

The two-part Kevin Costner film (out of a planned four)

As the title suggests, Horizon: An American Saga is much more than just a feature film. The teaser shown below is not a trailer for the first film. But the first two films that have already been filmed and are scheduled to be released in American cinemas this summer! The first part will be shown on July 28 and the second on August 16. Whether two more parts designed by the star will be completed depends on its success.

Written by Costner himself and Jon Baird, Horizon: An American Saga aims to introduce viewers to the old American West and how it was won (and lost) with the blood, sweat and tears of many.

“Spanning the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Costner’s ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends and foes all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America.”

The actor and director explained in Variety how much of a struggle he had to get this project off the ground. With this, the actor returns to the area where he gave us the greatest stories. With the legendary films Dances with Wolves or the lesser-known Open Range in our memory. We’ll see how it turns out, but the first preview of the project evokes the great Westerns of the past…
