Dragon’s Dogma II: You Can Now Create Your Character [VIDEO]

As with Spore, the character creation toolkit is now available ahead of the game’s release.

The first Capcom Highlights has been held (we already posted when the second one will be). Here, Dragon’s Dogma II director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi joined Capcom Highlights to give an overview of what players can expect when they embark on their own immersive fantasy adventures. In addition to your party of up to three AI companions known as Pawns, players are encouraged to indulge their curiosity and stretch their creativity as they explore the world of Dragon’s Dogma II. From the way they solve quests to the way they interact with the characters around them, the choices players make will not only affect their Arisen’s relationships with other characters, but will also change the interactions between characters. There are often creative solutions to avoid physical altercations, such as passing off an exquisite fake item as the real thing. Every decision the player makes will affect the complex web of relationships in a world filled with over 1000 characters, each with their own goals and motivations.

Itsuno and Hirabayashi also unveiled the “Character Creator & Storage” tool, which can be downloaded for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Starting today, players will be able to create five designs for their Arisen and main characters! These designs will be instantly transferred to the full game when Dragon’s Dogma II launches, allowing players to begin their journey right at launch. Finally, the duo revealed plans to release official Capcom Support Pawns created by renowned content creators that will be available to other players via the network to join their own adventure, with initial announcements during Capcom Highlights and more participating creators to be revealed in the near future.

We’re still exactly two weeks away from the release of the Dragon’s Dogma sequel. The game is also inspired by Grand Theft Auto V (Itsuno talked about it the other day) and we’ll be able to experience it on PlayStation 5, Xbox series and PC from March 22nd.Hopefully Itsuno won’t just focus on Devil May Cry or this IP after this, because that’s what he’s been focusing on for the last two decades!
