Mysterious, Unannounced New Game Might Be In The Works At BioWare!

BioWare has more than just Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in its immediate plans, at least according to a recently published job offer…

BioWare fans are already looking forward to Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. However, the famous developer may have even more projects in the works. BioWare is responsible for some of the most beloved Western RPGs of all time, from licensed hits like Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic to original IPs like Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

The latter two franchises have defined BioWare since the late 2000s, and new instalments of both are currently in development at the EA-owned studio.

As it turned out, in addition to the two long-awaited sequels, another unconfirmed game may be in the works. At least, according to a new job posting the studio posted late last month. In the ad, they are looking for a temporary development manager who will coordinate the work of “2-3 different project teams”. The first two such teams are believed to be working on Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. All this means they can work on at least one other project in the studio.

BioWare may have a mysterious game in the works

Earlier this year, layoffs hit BioWare as part of parent company Electronic Arts’ downsizing. But fans have been reassured that the next Mass Effect game will not be affected. Likewise, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf development continues to roll. The studio can now focus on the latter; the game is rumoured to be released sometime later this year. Fans may get another look at the long-in-development Dreadwolf at Summer Game Fest in June.

If the recent job posting for an interim development manager is anything to go by, BioWare may have another surprise up its sleeve as it nears completion of Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

This mysterious video game from BioWare could really be anything. From another spin-off of its two main properties to something completely new. Right now, there’s only a vague mention in the job posting, and it could be a while before the company is ready to confirm that new games are in the works.
