The Polish studio currently working on the Silent Hill 2 remake (and known for games like Layers of Fear, Observer and The Medium) has started work on a mystery game, and this project has a publisher.
The Krakow-based Bloober team (maybe that’s why The Medium was set in Krakow…) has teamed up with a major publisher to create a new, original IP. It’s Take-Two Interactive, and the studio has teamed up with its subsidiary Private Division. The IP for Project C will remain with Bloober Team, the studio said in a letter to investors. The game does not have a release date yet, but the plan is to unveil the game to the public by the end of the year.
The Bloober team also announced another project in the letter. Project R was announced by the studio last December during The Game Awards, and it’s being developed from Skybound Entertainment’s IP. Skybound was founded by The Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman, and the “premiere” of this game is scheduled for sometime in 2025. That probably means a release date for that year. (Otherwise the game would have been announced too early, although that mistake was made with Cyberpunk 2077 by another Polish studio, CD Projekt RED…)

Private Division specializes more in indie games, although there is some history here as well, with People Can Fly’s Project Dagger going under after Take-Two parted ways with the developers, who couldn’t finish the project and ended up self-publishing it. Project C is probably a smaller project compared to Silent Hill 2 Remake, but we don’t know when development started on it. It might have been several years in the making, otherwise there wouldn’t be much to show for it.
We’ll have to wait for Project C to be unveiled, but the Polish company is slowly getting around to it…
